BOCA RATON, FLA. — Mighty Yum has relaunched its line of Munchables, plant-based lunch kits for kids, after reformulating the recipes with cleaner ingredients.

The company said the plant-based meat in the Turkey and Cheese Munchables and Ham and Cheese Munchables are now soy- and gluten-free.

Instead of a soy and gluten base, the plant-based turkey and ham in the kits are now made with vegetables, including parsnips, chickpeas, sweet potatoes and tomato puree.

The plant-based turkey and ham were also certified free of unhealthy additives, including lead and cadmium, by third-party laboratory Merieux NutriSciences.

Mighty Yum said the plant-based Pepperoni Pizza Munchables are 100% kosher.

All three of the lunch kits are dairy-free, nut-free and non-GMO.

“We’ve always been proud of the Munchables line, which offers nutrition and convenience that pleases parents and flavor that delights kids,” said Scott Kerner, chief operating officer of Mighty Yum. “The recipe reformulation further supports our mission to be the trusted better-for-you brand that offers the most innovative plant-powered ingredients across our product line.”

To celebrate the relaunch, the company is offering consumers a $3 cash-back offer when they send a photo of their receipt to Mighty Yum.
