Millennials and Gen Z continue to influence companies to put more effort into sustainability and other ethics-based initiatives as they express their desire to support brands that are socially and environmentally responsible.

Hunt Valley, Md.-based McCormick & Company was listed in March among the top 100 most sustainable companies by Barron’s Magazine. The company landed the 54th spot in the list.

“McCormick is honored to be featured as one of Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies for the fifth year,” said Lawrence E. Kurzius, chairman and CEO. “This most recent ranking reflects our continued progress against our purpose-led performance commitments which include doing what’s right for people, communities, and the planet we all share.”

According to McCormick, it was also recently listed as one of the top 100 just companies in America by JUST Capital 100, and it was ranked among the top 50 global companies in Fortune’s 2022 Change the World list.

In June 2022, McCormick launched a Pride Edition OLD BAY Hot Sauce in support of The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for lesbian, gay, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. The idea came from McCormick’s LGBTQ employee ambassador group, PRISM.

“OLD BAY represents hometown pride,” said Jill Pratt, chief marketing officer for McCormick. “It goes on everything and should be shared with everyone. It’s an iconic flavor that unites us all. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with The Trevor Project and help advance their mission to end suicide among LGBTQ youth.”

McCormick’s OLD BAY Hot Sauce is available for retail and foodservice kitchens in 64-ounce jugs and 1.5-gallon dispensing pouches.

“OLD BAY Hot Sauce is shipped and stored at ambient temperatures, has a shelf life of 365 days and best if used by the code date,” the company said. “Protect product from freezing and store with lid tightly closed to reduce the risk of contamination and maintain maximum product quality. Recycling of cardboard cases and plastic jugs that have been thoroughly rinsed is encouraged where acceptable.”

McCormick’s bulk condiment options from its other brands include:
