Demand for snacks continues to surge in all food categories. When you combine that with consumers’ ever-increasing desire for foods that are good for them, it adds up to a renaissance in fresh fruit and vegetable snacking options.

Cranberry combos

New in the snacking realm from Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc., is Snack Medley, which pairs sweet and tangy dried cranberries with other fruits.

The line includes three products:

  1. Cran-Blueberry
  2. Cran-Pineapple
  3. Cran-Mango

Each Snack Medley box contains five single-serve 1-ounce pouches.

“Our team at Ocean Spray is always looking for ways to bring delicious and nutritious options to families,” said Kelvin Vuong, senior director of brand marketing, USA Foods and Snacking, for Ocean Spray. “With Snack Medley, we’ve created a perfect combination of flavors that will satisfy cravings needed for busy days.”

Snack Medley can be found at Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, HEB, Stop & Shop and other retailers.

A burst of color

NatureSweet has made a colorful addition to its snacking lineup.

The company’s new Constellation Sweet & Seedless Mini Peppers feature sweet red, yellow and orange peppers.

Introduced in late 2023, the 14-ounce product has already made a huge impact on the category, said Amit Patel, NatureSweet’s director of marketing and innovation.

“Our sweet pepper medley is the top-selling branded multi-color seedless mini sweet pepper in the country. They have a level of sweetness that is much higher than your average mini pepper, and the fact that there are no seeds makes this the perfect convenient, grab-and-go snack, more portable than a standard sweet pepper.”

Because of their size, Constellation Seedless Mini Peppers are perfect for snacking because they’re easier to hold up when using spreads or dipping, Patel added. They’re also perfect for grilling, and they perfectly complement meals and salads.

Constellation Seedless Mini Peppers can be found at Costco, Giant, Giant Eagle and other retailers.
