WATERLOO, WIS. — Following recent success with spicy pickle flavors, Van Holten’s has launched a new sour pickle called the WARHEADS Extreme Sour Pickle-In-A-Pouch.

The product was developed in partnership with Janesville, Wis.-based Impact Confections, the parent company of the WARHEADS brand.

To introduce the product, Van Holten’s has started a social media challenge for fans of extreme sour flavors with the hashtag #SourPickleChallenge.

“As the company continues to grow domestically and internationally, we couldn’t help but notice that Van Holten’s products were popping up in the same places as WARHEADS,” said Eric Girard, vice president of sales and marketing at Van Holten’s. “Extreme snackers want something that is flavorful, fun for social media and never done before. We’ve nailed that with WARHEADS.”

Van Holten’s WARHEADS Pickle-In-A-Pouch products come in shelf-stable 12-count display cases and have a shelf life of two years.

Other available Pickle-In-A-Pouch flavors are Dill, Hot & Spicy, Kosher Garlic, Sour and Tapatio Hot Sauce.
