The snack food industry has gotten itself into a pickle — and consumers are loving it. Dill pickle-flavored snacks have been popping up everywhere, and the trend is only getting bigger.

Yelp’s 2023 Food Trends report said internet searches for pickle-flavored foods were up 55% last year, and Datassential’s FoodBytes trend report said dill pickle fits into the nostalgic flavor category that consumers are craving in 2024.

Five notable dill pickle products that just launched last year:

1. BiGS Vlasic Spicy Dill Pickle Sunflower Seeds

“A spicy twist on the No. 1 selling flavored sunflower seed (BiGS Vlasic Dill Pickle), this new offering delivers on a trend that has seen dollar sales of spicy seeds rise 29% over the past year,” said Chicago-based Conagra Brands.

2. Planters Dill Pickle Cashews

“Consumers are looking for bold flavor options to complement the snacks they already love, and Planters is here to answer that call,” said Austin, Minn.-based Planters. “These mouthwatering morsels spotlight the savory essence of dill pickles, another perfect flavor pairing for an already-beloved snack.”

3. Daily Crunch Dill Pickle Sprouted Almonds and Pepitas

“Created with the company’s signature, patent-pending sprout and dehydrate process that turns ordinary nuts into a crunchy snack that is easier to digest, Daily Crunch snacks feature clean ingredients for elevated flavors,” said Nashville, Tenn.-based Daily Crunch. “Our dill pickle flavor delivers a savory, tangy taste with mouthwatering zesty spices and infused with apple cider vinegar, pickles and pickle juice 100% sourced from Cleveland Kitchen.”

4. Good Foods Dill Pickle Chip Dip

“Good Foods Dill Pickle Chip Dip is packed with bold flavors including dill and Dijon mustard,” said Pleasant Prairie, Wis.-based Good Foods. “At just 50 calories per serving, this party hit is the ultimate combination of deliciousness and inclusivity for everyone to relish.”

5. La Terra Fina Dill Pickle Dip & Spread

“Greek Yogurt and cream cheese-based, the Dill Pickle Dip & Spread has a mesmerizing tangy taste and an abundance of pickles and dill that will appeal to adults and kids alike,” said Union City, Calif.-based La Terra Fina. “This dip can be enjoyed right out of the tub with fresh veggies, pretzels, chips, fries, or slathered-on sandwiches and burgers.”
