BrightFarms has a lot to look forward to in 2024, said Abby Prior, the company’s chief commerce officer.

Among the highlights: the opening of three new regional greenhouse hubs, expansions of the best-selling Crunch Kit Salad line and the expansion of BrightFarms’ new partnership with Element Farms to supply indoor grown spinach to consumers along the East Coast.

Crunch Kit Salads, which launched in 2023, are the #1 selling indoor grown salad kits in the country, Prior said.

BrightFarms’ signature Sunny Crunch lettuce is the salad’s base, a premium choice compared to what has traditionally been offered in retail salad kits, she said.

On the heels of the line’s success, BrightFarms is launching two new flavors: Southwest Chipotle and Mediterranean.

Bright Farms’ three new regional greenhouse hubs, set to open in Summer 2024, are in Yorkville, Ill.; Lorena, Texas; and Macon, Ga. The new capacity will increase by ten-fold the company’s capacity to supply leafy greens, Prior said.

BrightFarms’ partnership with Element Farms to supply locally-grown spinach to customers in the Northeast kicked off in November. Under the deal, BrightFarms distributes Element Farms’ spinach under the BrightFarms brand. BrightFarm-branded spinach is now available at The Giant Company stores.

Also in 2024, BrightFarms will break ground on another greenhouse in the Northeast region.

“With expansion plans ongoing, BrightFarms is poised to reach shoppers in over two-thirds of the US with locally grown greens,” Prior said.
