NEW YORK — Target Research Group has acquired Spoonshot, a food intelligence platform. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition will enable Target Research Group to offer AI-powered insights for businesses in the food and beverage industry, the company said.

A collaboration project called Foodbrain+ led to Target Research Group acquiring Spoonshot. Foodbrain+ is an AI tool that features innovation, consumer testing and enables companies to have quicker market launches, according to the company. The platform centralized data points from over 28,000 sources to assist food and beverage product developers in creating new applications.
