The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development has recently been assisting employees affected by the Tyson Foods’ closings at the Dexter and Noel, Mo., plants with job fairs and other resources.
The annual accolade recognizes poultry facilities that excel in commitments to sustainable wastewater treatment, identify water reuse opportunities and implement initiatives to advance overall sustainability in the facility.
Hormel Foods donated five truckloads of SPAM products totaling over 264,000 cans to the affected areas, and Tyson is donating over 100,000 lbs of protein, which can feed 404,000 people.
