A growing number of consumers are holding retailers responsible by voting with their dollars for what choices they offer shoppers, especially in the meat case.
Earlier this year, Tyson announced it would close two other facilities in Van Buren, Ark., and Glen Allen, Va., which were expected to result in approximately 1,700 lost jobs.
The company will modify its “no antibiotics ever” (NAE) production claim for Tyson branded chicken used in its supply chain to reflect its new, “No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine” (NAIHM) claim, a transition it expects to complete by the end of 2023.
The program is based on data from the Center for Talent Innovation that concluded that 62% of disabled employees have a disability that is not visible and that most of them (97%) reported that they don’t feel comfortable disclosing their disability to their employers.
