CHICAGO — Niman Ranch, a subsidiary of Perdue Farms, announced a partnership with leading Midwest grocery chain Mariano’s. All Mariano’s retail locations will offer Niman Ranch fresh and prepared products.
“On behalf of Niman Ranch’s farmer network, we are excited to now offer our meats to more homes across Chicagoland,” said Paul Willis, Niman Ranch’s founding hog farmer. “By adding Mariano’s as a grocery partner, we are able to support more local farmers committed to our high standards that produce the best tasting pork in the marketplace.”
Over 15 fresh and prepared Niman Ranch products are available at Mariano’s, including pork chops, long bone racks, baby back ribs, hot dogs, sausages, ham and bacon.
Mariano’s said it is committed to sourcing local, sustainable products with exceptional quality and flavor. As independent family farmers, Niman Ranch shares Mariano’s values. The primarily Midwest farmer network raises animals on pastures without crates, and all its products are Certified Humane.
“We’re happy to feature Niman Ranch products as part of our fresh meat offerings to include antibiotic-free, premium meats for our customers, as well as to support local farmers and sustainable agriculture,” said Michael Marx, president of Mariano’s.
Mariano’s will host a series of Niman Ranch sampling events in honor of the recent partnership. At select locations during the winter and spring, customers can meet Niman Ranch farmers and taste their products.
