Vandemoortele USA

Vandemoortele USA’s new Maple Pecan Cake and Cookies ‘N Cream Pie are perfect for instore bakeries. The Maple Pecan Cake is a soft traybake with a creamy maple center and pecans. The Cookies ‘N Cream Pie has a cocoa shortbread crust, a dense chocolate and vanilla filling, and cookie crumbles sprinkled on top. The cardboard packaging for the desserts is resealable and “allows cakes to be served and preserved efficiently. Desired portions can be thawed while the rest of the dessert can be stored in the freezer until needed.”

Fresh Cravings

Fresh Cravings’ latest refrigerated hummus, Dill Pickle Hummus, capitalizes on the growing pickle-flavor trend and features tangy dill and garlic notes. The new flavor is now available in Walmart stores nationwide, joining the brand’s existing lineup of hummus varieties that includes roasted red pepper, roasted garlic, lemon garlic, Mediterranean and Tajin Chile Lime.

Niman Ranch

Niman Ranch has launched its first value-added lamb products with gyros and merguez lamb sausage. Tapping into US consumers’ craving for global spices, the gyros and merguez sausage offer flavorful, but not spicy, hot protein options, according to the company. The gyros are a blend of Niman Ranch lamb, beef and spices, including seasoned pepper, oregano, marjoram and thyme. The merguez sausage, stuffed in natural lamb casings, has a North African flavor profile with a custom blend of three different paprikas, harissa and cumin.
