TUCKER, GA. — The US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) board of directors named Nath Morris its next president. Morris succeeds John Starkey, who announced his retirement earlier this year, effective in August, and will remain as an advisor through the end of the year.

“I am happy to be a part of US Poultry & Egg Association, and I am excited about serving as president of such a great organization and look forward to advancing our legacy as the All-Feather organization serving the poultry and egg industry in so many areas.” Morris said. “USPOULTRY is the industry’s largest and most dynamic organization, and we will keep building on that tradition.”

Morris has been part of USPOULTRY’s personnel since 2014, serving as executive vice president – expo and managing the International Poultry Expo (IPE), which is part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE).

In addition to growing up in a poultry family in Georgia, Morris has extensive industry experience. Before joining USPOULTRY, he worked with Perdue Farms/Heritage Breeders as a US sales manager. He also served as territory manager for Arbor Acres Farms/Aviagen, territory manager for Meyn USA and QA manager for Seaboard Farms of Athens.

Morris has been involved in volunteer opportunities through USPOULTRY programs, including the annual Hatchery-Breeder Clinic. He has also been active in his community, serving as a member of the Hall County Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Hall County Board of Education, president of the Georgia School Board Association executive committee and member of the Administrative Board of the First United Methodist Church.

Morris earned a bachelor's degree in poultry science from the University of Georgia.

“Nath’s experience in the industry, along with his leadership and management of the massive IPPE and familiarity with our other programs, will be a tremendous asset as US Poultry & Egg Association continues to help shape the future of the poultry and egg industry,” said Jarod Morrison, chairman of USPOULTRY and chief financial officer at Farbest Foods.
