LOVELAND, COLO. — Teton Waters Ranch is launching a new product line, Teton Taste Buds, to reach children of all ages with nutritious foods.

The Taste Buds collection combines nutrient-packed veggies with Teton’s grass fed beef. The line is beginning with three frozen items — mini corn dogs, burgers and meatballs — as well as a refrigerated hot dog.

“Kids love the taste of these products, and parents feel great about serving them because they are a more healthful, affordable and convenient solution to get kids to eat better,” said Pam Smith, RDN, founder and president of Shaping America’s Plate, a nutritional consultant for Teton Taste Buds. “No sugar, no antibiotics, 50% less sodium and 38% less saturated fat than the conventional hot dog, powered with veggies and grass-fed beef — all rolled into kid-favorite meals.”

Teton Waters Ranch hopes its new product line will help combat the rising rates of child obesity in the United States.

“Childhood obesity is an epidemic, with one in five children in the United States clinically obese,” Teton said.

The company believes now is the time for food brands to step in and promote healthful choices for children that will help reduce the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

“In order to make positive change in the eating habits of this generation of school children, businesses need to play an active role, and Teton Waters Ranch is committed to doing just that,” said Jeff Tripician, chief executive officer of Grass Fed Foods, Teton’s parent company. “Kids love eating hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers and meatballs. With Taste Buds on the menu, parents do not have to feel worried about allowing those choices in their kid’s diets. Taste Buds make mealtime fun and healthy.”
