POWAY, CALIF. - After Barons Market was forced to close its salad bars early in the pandemic, the grocer has moved forward with repurposing the salad bar to serve seven premade salads. 

The new salads are fresh, exciting and offer a quick lunch or dinner solution, according to Barons. The salad offerings include: 

  • Antipasto Salad ($6.99): This hearty salad features romaine lettuce with olives, provolone cheese, artichoke hearts, zesty pepperoncini, red onion, savory salami and pepperoni with an Italian dressing. 

  • Asian-Style Chicken Salad ($6.99): Crisp romaine lettuce is paired with shredded carrots, red cabbage, rotisserie chicken, edamame, sweet mandarin oranges, green onion, and crispy wonton strips and is served with a sesame dressing. 

  • BBQ Chicken Salad ($6.99): Baron’s rotisserie chicken is tossed in BBQ sauce and served on top of romaine lettuce with red onion, cheese, black beans, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, crispy onions and creamy ranch dressing. 

  • Cobb Salad ($6.99): Features romaine lettuce, hardboiled egg, cherry tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, bacon, turkey and ranch dressing. 

  • Garden Salad ($5.99): Spring mix and crisp fresh veggies are paired with garbanzo beans and balsamic dressing for a delicious, vegan-friendly salad. 

  • Kale and Quinoa Salad ($6.99):  A bed of kale and spring mix topped with red quinoa, dried cranberries, walnuts, crumbled feta, red onion, and finish it with a sweet raspberry vinaigrette. 

  • Balsamic Beet Salad ($5.99):  This flavorful salad is made with spring mix, beets, garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, sweety drop peppers, hearts of palm and balsamic dressing.
