Emmi Roth, headquartered in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, rolled out new products under its line of Switzerland-produced Emmi cheeses and Wisconsin-based Roth cheeses during IDDBA '19 in Orlando.
Emmi USA debuted its Kaltbach cave-aged gouda, giving the company a complete line of cheeses aged in the 22 million-year-old cave in Switzerland. The Kaltbach line, which also includes Le Gruyere and Le Cremeux, also received a packaging redesign. The company says the new look helps tell the cheese's story and conveys to the consumer its quality.
Emmi USA is also expanding its line of ready-to-heat-and-eat Fondu cheeses, with a standalone foil pouch coming soon.
On the Roth side, the company is embracing the Green Goddess trend by rolling out a new flavor. When consumers purchase the new product, Green Goddess Gouda, they can apply and nominate a worthy cause or project in their community to receive funding.
Roth is also debuting Flavor Ups, a 1-oz pack of blue cheese aimed at helping shoppers cut down on waste. New flavors for the product are also in the works. The company is also rolling out its Chevre line of goat cheese, with both plain and seasonal flavors.
