The Essential Baking Company’s new take on its bake-off breads is better suited for instore bakery merchandising.

Seattle-based Essential Baking Company launched its certified organic Take & Bake line at Expo West 2018. The line, which features a pouch design, is an updated version of the company’s Bake-at-Home line of bake-off breads, which come in a box. The pouch is a better fit for instore, according to the company.

Take & Bake comes in five varieties: sourdough, rosemary, French, Italian and baguette.

The line’s packaging is part of Essential Baking Company’s efforts to reduce waste. The pouches feature oxygen-free FreshSEAL packaging material, which is paper-free and doesn’t require refrigeration or freezing.

The company also supplies frozen breads to instore bakeries that are baked off instore.
