C-store fried chicken specialist Krispy Krunchy Chicken opened in 509 new stores in 2017.

That brings the Lafayette, Louisiana-based chain’s store total to 2,294. Krispy Krunchy partners with c-stores on instore chicken programs. In addition to chicken, Krispy Krunchy programs include biscuits, mac ‘n cheese and other sides. The company also added Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in 2017.

Krispy Krunchy sold 14 million chicken breasts in 2017, 24.5 million wings, 20 million thighs, 20 million legs, 29.6 million biscuits and 2.3 million servings of mac ‘n cheese.
