Midwestern retail chain Meijer Inc. is recalling prepared food products over listeria fears.
Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Meijer is recalling three products sold in stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin with sell-by dates of Dec. 17-Dec. 21:
- Meijer Fresh Cranberry Apple Stuffing Starter, 18.9 oz, UPC# 719283379771
- Meijer Michigan Harvest Salad, 10 oz, UPC# 708820684003
- Meijer Sharable Waldorf Salad, 16 oz, UPC# 713733538640
The Meijer recall is linked to an apple recall by Detroit-based Fresh-Pak Inc. and its supplier, Sparta, Michigan-based Jack Brown Produce. As of Dec. 20, no illnesses had been reported linked to the recalls.
Meijer operates more than 230 grocery stores and supercenters in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
