SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Tyson Ventures, the venture capital arm of Tyson Foods, is accepting applications for its third Tyson Demo Days.

Tyson Demo Day 2024, which is being held at Tyson’s world headquarters in Springdale on July 17, aims to collaborate with startups that care about sustainability practices, enhancing transparency, creating new efficiencies and ensuring high standards of quality across the company’s supply chain, the company said.

Tyson said it encourages startups with innovations in logistics software, distribution, warehousing, traceability and transparency, animal welfare, cold chain management, inventory management, forecasting and predictive analytics, supplier management and souring technology to apply. The application deadline is May 3.

Companies selected to compete will pitch at the event, which provides startups with mentorship from Tyson Foods executives, potential pilot and testing programs, commercial partnerships and recognition through press and media.

“Our vision for Tyson Demo Day 2024 is to become a significant catalyst of groundbreaking supply chain technology by bringing startups together to collaborate with Tyson Foods,” said John R. Tyson, president and chief financial officer of Tyson Ventures. “Together, we can reimagine, innovate and elevate the protein supply chain across every touchpoint.”

The second annual pitch event’s, which was held on July 11, 2023, theme featured startups showcasing their latest innovations for upcycling. During the event, entrepreneurs explained their companies’ products, services and mission to a panel of Tyson employees.

Out of 11 participants, 4 winners were chosen:

  • GenoTwin — a company that specializes in biosurveillance and sustainability for livestock operations;
  • NetZro — a proprietary equipment company that looks at converting food and beverage products into ingredients. They also are looking at power safe capture.
  • SuperGround — a Finnish startup that processes bones and other hard tissues into human-edible and safe-to-eat poultry products; and
  • ZwitterCo — uses membrane technology to enable advanced wastewater treatment and water reuse.
