CLEVELAND — Smith Corona Labels has launched a new division, Pinnacle Labels, to manufacture and sell scale labels direct to end-users at competitive prices.

According to Smith Corona, most scale labels distributed by other companies are all purchased from the same manufacturer. Pinnacle Labels cuts out the middleman by sourcing its own raw materials, laminating, converting and selling directly from its 700,000-square-foot factory.

“At Smith Corona, we are excited at the opportunity to launch a new standalone brand dedicated to the scale label market,” said Stephen Kam, vice president of sales and marketing at Smith Corona.

The new brand’s website was designed to streamline the purchasing process for customers by enabling efficient browsing, selection, and purchasing of stock items, customized sizes, or brand specific labels.

The website also features customer resources in the form of blog posts and videos.

“As this product is used in a very different environment and application than our traditional logistics labels, we decided that the best way to showcase them was with their own website,” Kam said. “After reviewing our competences as a company, we found that incorporating scale labels into our portfolio of products is a natural fit for our manufacturing capabilities.”
