SPRINGDALE, ARK. – Tyson Foods has partnered with Albertsons to bring a new Chairman’s Reserve Prime Pork line to the 140 Albertsons stores in Portland, Ore.

“We are thrilled to introduce Chairman’s Reserve Prime Pork to Albertsons shoppers,” said Britney Banuelos, senior brand manager of Fresh Meats marketing and premium programs for Tyson Foods. “The brand exists to provide a canvas for creativity in the kitchen and we can’t wait for consumers to savor these tender, juicy pork products. Albertsons has been a wonderful partner every step of the way.”

The five Chairman’s Reserve Prime Pork products include:

  • New York Pork Chop
  • Thick-Cut New York Pork Chop
  • Ribeye Chop
  • Pork Tenderloin Medallions
  • Loin Roast

The case-ready fresh meat products were designed to blend the convenience of e-commerce options with the consumer’s desire for a high-end meal at home.

The 2022 Power of Meat Report identifies that two-thirds of consumers have plans to decrease their restaurant dining frequency. It also found that the top two decision-making factors for consumers when buying meat are product quality and appearance.

Additionally, demand for case-ready packaging for pork has almost doubled since last year. Consumers want to be able to purchase fresh meat in packaging that is freezer-ready and leakproof, and retailers want the easy storage and longer shelf life.

Tyson Foods reports that the Chairman’s Reserve Prime Pork line meets all of those demands and has even earned the Master Chefs’ Institute Seal of Excellence.

“We appreciate the support from the Chairman’s Reserve brand team to successfully launch the product in our stores,” Gabe Sisneros, Albertsons’ meat sales manager, said. “We are proud to offer our shoppers a premium pork option, along with recipes and preparation tips from the brand. We deeply value our partnership with Tyson Foods.”
