CHICAGO — Hatco Corp.’s new pizza display cabinet regulates air temperature and balances humidity to create an optimal environment for holding pizzas and other foods.
Introduced and well-received at the International Pizza Expo, Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Hatco highlighted the new Intelligent Heated Display Cabinet with Humidity at the National Restaurant Association Show May 19-22.
The cabinet, which can hold up to six pizzas at a time on up to three levels, features LED lighting and timers so employees know when to change foods, says Robin Alfano, Hatco's advertising director.
The air flow pattern of the unit is designed to maintain consistent cabinet temperature without drying out the food, while the air flow rate enables the cabinet to recover temperature rapidly after opening and closing the doors.
The cabinet features an LCD touchscreen display on the back that controls temperature, humidity and up to eight timers for each food location, as well as a USB port on the back to establish standard, pre-programmed settings for consistency and reliability, Alfano says.
