Online meal planning specialist eMeals’ latest meal kit solution is an industry first, the company says — and customers can pick it up curbside at Walmart and Kroger stores.
Birmingham, Alabama-based eMeals has introduced what it says are the first meal kits in which consumers can choose their own food style, offering greater variety in the meal kit channel.
Subscribers can choose from 15 food styles, including Quick & Healthy, Paleo, Clean Eating, Low Calorie, Classic Meals, Diabetic, Gluten Free and Vegetarian. Each food style offers seven entrée-and-side options every week.
After orders are placed, customers can pick them up curbside at Walmart and Kroger stores. Deliveries also can be made via Instacart. By partnering with local retailers and eliminating the expense of measuring and packaging ingredients for each recipe, eMeals costs up to 50% less than other meal kit services, according to the company.
