JBS S.A. is leading a pilot project focused on implementing individual cattle traceability in Pará, Brazil, to accelerate the adoption of the Pará Plan.

JBS announced plans to not only resume its beef processing operation in Diamantino, Mato Grosso, but also to expand it to make it the largest beef plant in Latin America.

In the fiscal third quarter ended Sept. 30, JBS SA reported a steep decline in net income by 84.7% compared to the same period last year, dropping to $117.3 million.

The two new plants are located in an industrial complex in Rolândia, Brazil.
