Hy-Vee opened its first HealthMarket this week, a new concept centered around healthy lifestyle items, groceries and personal care items.

The concept — located in the company's hometown of West Des Moines, Iowa — also furthers Hy-Vee's partnership with Orangetheory Fitness, which will operated a 3,000-square-foot location adjacent to the store.

The 15,700-square-foot HealthMarket focuses on organic produce, high-quality meats, Hy-Vee Short Cuts, Hy-Vee Mealtime Kits, and a hydration station that features cold brew coffee, kombucha and Bevi-infused waters. Many of Hy-Vee's orginal store products can also be found in the HealthMarket.

The store has a full-service pharmacy, health clinic and hearing aid center, as well as a sports nutrition area. It also offers Aisles Online pickup.

The company says HealthMarkets are planned for the Kansas City and Madison, Wisconsin, markets.
