Midwestern retailer Hy-Vee Inc. is recalling a deli salad over salmonella fears.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee voluntary recalled its Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad after about 20 illnesses in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa were potentially linked to the product. Recalled product includes 1- and 3-pound containers produced from June 1 through July 13 and bearing expiration dates of June 22 through Aug. 3.

The affected product was distributed to all of Hy-Vee’s 244 grocery stores across its eight-state region of Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
