East Coast c-store chain QuickChek has ramped up its foodservice offerings with a new hire.
Whitehouse Station, New Jersey-based QuickChek, which operates 153 stores in New Jersey and New York, has hired Scott Zoeller as vice president of foodservice, according to a story on njbiz.com.
Zoeller worked most recently as vice president of deli, meat and seafood at Kings Super Markets and Balducci’s, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Scott’s extensive background in driving sales growth, building successful teams and providing customers with an intimate shopping experience will be a great asset as we continue to grow our menu and continue to meet the demands of today’s fast casual shopper,” Dean Durling, QuickChek’s CEO, says in a statement quoted in the story.
Many of QuickChek’s locations feature expansive displays of grab-and-go, made-fresh items, made-to-order sandwiches and salads, fresh baked goods and a daily rotation of never-frozen soups, according to the story.
