SAN FRANCISCO — Hummus specialist Hope Foods showcased two new hummuses and one new guacamole at the Specialty Food Association’s annual Winter Fancy Food Show Jan. 21-23.

Buffalo Bleu and Jalapeno Red hummus and Spicy Mango guacamole all made their trade show debuts at Winter Fancy Food, Ashley Rech, Louisville, Colorado-based Hope Foods’ marketing manager, said at the show.

The addition of Buffalo Bleu and Jalapeno Red brings to 11 Hope Foods’ number of hummus offerings. Spicy Mango is the seventh product in the company’s guacamole line. “We try to tackle flavors that are hard to do,” Rech said. “Buffalo Bleu took 60 trials before we got what we wanted.”

Hope Foods was the first company to sell hummus made with high pressure processing (HPP), not pasteurization, Rech said.
