Fermented foods, avocados and seeds top a new list of superfoods to look for in 2018.
In a survey of 2,050 registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs), Pollock Communications and Today’s Dietitian’s annual What’s Trending in Nutrition? report, now in its sixth year, forecasted the top ten superfood trends for the coming year.
Fermented foods takes over the top spot from seeds, which comes in third for 2018. RDNs polled cited yogurt, kefir, kombucha, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso and some pickles among the fermented foods that should be big next year.
