Bimbo Bakeries USA, the country’s largest baker, will open a new distribution center in New Jersey.

Horsham, Pennsylvania-based Bimbo Bakeries, a subsidiary of Mexican-based Grupo Bimbo, is converting a former trucking terminal in an industrial park in Burlington Township into a 17,780 sq ft facility, according to a story in the Courier-Post.

Bimbo’s business is predominantly commercial, but the company also makes instore bakery products through its Grace Baking brand.

The announcement of the new distribution center comes at a time when Bimbo Bakeries is going through a major restructuring. Since 2012, the company has closed about half of its Sara Lee plants. And while the company said as early as 2014 that its plant closing phase was nearly completed, more closings have since been announced, including this year.
