Specialty grocer Dorothy Lane market was awarded two 2015 Achievement Awards by the US Environmental Protection Agency's GreenChill Partnership at a ceremony in New Orleans this week as part of the FMI Energy & Store Developmental Conference.
The Most Improved Emissions Rate Award goes to the partner with the most improved emissions rate for commercial systems from the previous year. The Superior Goal Achievement Award goes to each partner that achieves its annual GreenChill refrigerant emissions reduction goal.
"Dorothy Lane Market is recognized by EPA's GreenChill program for accomplishing the greatest reductions in refrigerant of any GreenChill partner when compared to the prior year," says Tom Land, manager of EPA's GreenChill program. "The GreenChill program commends Dorothy Lane Market for demonstrating a commitment to environmental protection through lowering the emissions of refrigerants that damage the ozone later and the earth's climate."
