GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Meijer announced that it is adjusting its store hours to the following beginning on May 15:

  • Stores will close overnight at midnight local time and open at 6 a.m. local time.

  • Dedicated shopping times for senior citizens (ages 60-plus) and customers with chronic health conditions will be extended on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 a.m. local time.

  • Dedicated shopping times for essential service workers (medical workers, first responders and law enforcement) and Meijer team members will be extended on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 a.m. local time.

"These extended hours will best serve all our customers and provide more flexibility to shop Meijer stores," said Rick Keyes, president and chief executive officer of Meijer. "As communities begin to re-open, it's more important than ever that we find new ways to adjust and reshape how our customers shop for products they need while keeping their families safe."
