OVIEDO, FLA. - Despite the rapid change to society amidst the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Duda Farm Fresh Foods was still able to connect with consumers throughout the month of March in celebration of National Celery Month.

The company ran a celery promotion to promote the vegetable as the “It-gredient.” Consumers had a chance to win one of four prizes —a cocktail mixer, an entertaining set and one-year supply of celery, a food processor or a personalized gift set. The promotion drew over 55,000 entries.

“Given the unique circumstances, we made the decision to continue to run our annual campaign to offer positive content and reinforce our supply during this time,” said Nichole Towell, senior director of marketing for Duda Farm Fresh Foods.

“We were surprised and pleased to find consumers were not only continuing to engage with the Dandy brand but were seeking familiar content and willing to purchase produce. At the end of the day, we want to make sure shoppers know that we will continue to provide the quality fresh produce they know and love.”

In addition to the promotion, Duda is reinforcing the healthy aspects of celery while people are looking for ways to stay healthy at home. The brand is also ensuring that consumer demand will continue to be met throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
