NEW YORK – FutureProof Retail is donating its Mobile Checkout Solution to grocery stores, pharmacies and supermarkets nationwide to help shoppers practice social distancing and avoid standing in lines amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Mobile Checkout Solution allows customers to scan and pay for items with their phone and removes the need for cashiers to handle customers' items. The software includes mobile checkout through the Express Checkout app, associated control systems for store staff and headquarters management, easy CSV integration for importing products and prices and exporting transaction logs, customizable templates for email, social media and in-store signage and the solution can be deployed in three working days,
"Because of its potential public health benefits, we are offering our basic service for free during the current state of emergency," FutureProof Retail Chief Executive Officer Will Hogben said. "The more stores we can enable, the more people will avoid checkout lines, reducing stress on the stores and community.”
Fairway Market, New York, is using the software as part of its safety recommendations to shoppers. Since its shopper safety campaign, Fairway has seen a 300% increase in adoption of the app. At least 20% of the store’s transactions are coming through the app in city stores.
While there is a national state of emergency, FutureProof Retail is donating the app free of charge to retailers essential to community needs. More information here.
