International bakery group Lantmännen Unibake has launched “Double Delights”, a pioneering pastry concept that combines two flavors into a single filling for the first time.

New Double Delights pastries offer a unique ‘fusion’ style twist on the classic pain au chocolat. Pastries can be filled with a choice of five delicious flavour combinations, each developed to complement each other perfectly when encased in a flaky butter pastry:

White Chocolate & Raspberry
White & Dark Chocolate
Dark Chocolate & Cherry
Dark Chocolate & Vanilla Cream
Vanilla Cream & Strawberry

Double Delights pastries will make their debut at the Anuga trade show, which takes place in Cologne from 5-9 October 2013. Lantmännen Unibake will exhibit in Hall 3.2 on Stand C051-C059. The concept is backed by the trusted Lantmännen Unibake brand name, which signifies the highest quality standards.

NEW Fruit and Custard Lattices
Lantmännen Unibake will also be presenting two newly launched pastries under our Schulstad Royal Danish Pastry brand: Apple & Custard Lattice and Raspberry & Custard Lattice.

The new Danish pastry lattices are made with 24 layers of light and flaky Schulstad Royal Danish Pastry and high quality fruit fillings. The Apple & Custard Lattices are made using UK-grown Bramley apples with 55% fruit in the apple filling and real vanilla extract within the custard. The Raspberry & Custard Lattices are made with 50% fruit in the raspberry filling and, again, real vanilla extract in the custard, giving that authentic, high-quality taste.

Both products are supplied ReadyGlazed – to avoid the need for time-consuming hand glazing after baking – and are packed in cases of 45 x 100g units. The lattices bake-off straight from frozen in 18 minutes and two bags of white icing are supplied inside the case, to make it easy for bakers to add the finishing touch after baking.
