Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. has completed expansion of potato processing operations at its facility in Richland, Wash. The $200 million investment was first announced in 2016 and includes a new processing line as well as increased capacity for frozen french fries.

“This expansion allows us to build on our presence here in Richland, Wash., while increasing our capabilities so we can grow with our customers around the globe,” said Tom Werner, president and chief executive officer of Lamb Weston. “We’re proud to be a part of the community in the Tri-Cities, and we’re especially grateful to our community partners who worked with us to make this expansion a reality.”

The added line will increase annual processing capacity by more than 300 million lbs, giving the facility the capacity to make 600 million lbs of frozen french fries a year, Lamb Weston said.
