Kretschmar, Price Cutter and Make-A-Wish Missouri granted Richard's wish and threw him a big party Friday to unveil his fully-restored truck. The party included a classic car show and a country music performance.

Richard is battling acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). He was diagnosed at the age of 12, just three short months after his mother, Debra, passed away from breast cancer. His family's health struggles continued when Richard's father suffered two strokes, but Richard continues to push forward and live the life of a typical teenager. He loves cars, trucks, playing guitar, video games and spending time with friends and family."Wishes like Richard's lift kids and their families up at a time that they need it most and help them forge ahead with hope, strength and joy," said Stephanie Hampton-Boeglin, vice president of Mission Delivery for Make-A-Wish Missouri.
Since 2012, Kretschmar has contributed over $515,000 to Make-A-Wish nationally and sponsored more than twelve wishes with local chapters through its "Legendary Wishes" campaign.
Thanks to retail partners like Price Cutter, Kretschmar has raised additional funding through sales of Make-A-Wish paper stars sold at stores' registers for $1 donations, employee donations and sandwich fundraisers. Price Cutter locally raised $17,000 during January 21st and February 10th to help grant future wishes like Richards. These efforts have raised $75,000 locally, which was given to local Make-A-Wish chapters to grant more wishes.
