The agency discovered the problem during routine inspection activities where Listeria monocytogenes were found on surfaces where the product came into contact.
A Valdosta, Ga., establishment, Sunset Farm Foods Inc., is recalling approximately 4,480 lbs of chicken and pork smoked sausage products that might be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically blue plastic, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
