ANAHEIM, CALIF. — At the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) show on June 5, Elizabeth, N.J.-based Atalanta Corp. showcased a new product for its Il Villaggio brand that brings convenience to premium cheese.

The Il Villaggio Grana Padano Gourmet Cheese with a new Twist & Grate packaging is set to launch in early 2024, said Marissa DeMaio, vice president of marketing and sales at Atalanta.

The suggested retail price for the new product is $9.99. DeMaio said the company wanted to increase the product’s value by making it affordable for the consumer without giving up quality.

The prototype displayed at the IDDBA show will have some changes made before the product launch, DeMaio said. This includes changing the yellow cheese grater piece to green to better match the branding on the product label.
