GREEN BAY, WISC. — At the United States Championship Cheese Contest, Caputo Cheese’s Mozzarella Mini Nodini won first place in the mozzarella category.

The company’s Burratini received second place in the Burrata category, and its Burrata also placed among the top cheeses in the category.

“The recognition as either Best of Class or as one of the top finishers in this year’s competition is a great honor,” said Natale Caputo, second-generation leader of Caputo Cheese. “Our commitment to quality cheeses is apparent in awards we’ve earned since entering US and world cheese competitions over the past five years.”

The company reports that its cheeses have won 17 awards in national and international competitions since 2018.

“Our most recent wins at the US Championship Cheese Contest proves that our commitment grows stronger each year,” Caputo said. “I want to thank everyone in our industry for their commitment and to the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association in particular.  We look forward to more award-winning entries by our company in 2024.”
