SPRINGDALE, ARK. – Not unlike last year, Tyson Foods Inc. announced that beginning in mid-December, it will begin distributing a total of $50 million in year-end bonuses to its 90,000-plus hourly employees. The individual bonuses will range from $300 to $700, and the company said it is part of its commitment to offer employees more benefits in the coming year, including flexible work schedules at some facilities.

“We’re extremely grateful for all of our team members in the hundreds of communities where we operate and we want to recognize our success together and say thank you,” said Donnie King, president and chief executive officer of Tyson Foods.

In addition to offering workers an average hourly pay rate of $19, the company plans to continue expanding its benefits packages and resources available to workers in 2023, including parental leave, increased mental health support and enhancements to health care plans.

“As we progress our efforts to be the most sought-after place to work, we continue to listen to our team members’ needs and invest in areas like childcare to provide a better quality of life for our team members,” King said.
