Chris’s Cookies, based in Teterboro, New Jersey, has appointed Ron Savelli as interim chief executive officer. Christian Gargiulo, who founded the company in 2000, was acting as interim CEO until Savelli’s appointment. Gargiulo will remain president of Chris’s Cookies.
Savelli is former president and CEO of Caravan Ingredients, Brill, CSM Bakery NA and most recently Eatem Foods. He began consulting to Chris’s Cookies in May 2016. As interim CEO, he will establish the foundations required to take advantage of many growth opportunities that are currently available to the company.
“As a manufacturer of premium baked cookies, brownies and dessert bars, the company is on the cusp of a significant expansion to a broad range of customers throughout the country,” Savelli says. “With my previous experiences in leading both emerging and large baked goods business, I can lay the groundwork for the company to successfully navigate this major growth curve.”
