St. Louis, Mo.-based Volpi Foods is celebrating its 120-year anniversary this fall and will be kicking off the instore and online promotions Sept. 7 on National Salami Day.

“Shoppers can expect to see enhanced displays, promotions and chances to share how their families celebrate their favorite foods across social media,” said Deanna Depke, marketing manager of Volpi Foods.

Depke said that pre-sliced salami items like Volpi’s Traditional Peppered Salame are increasing in popularity with consumers, while pre-sliced prosciutto remains a growth leader.

“Consumers are craving convenience and a bit of sensible indulgence,” Depke said. “Each of our day-to-days look different, and developing items that are convenient for each lifestyle is vitally important.”
