Florida-based grocery chain Publix continued its move into the Charlotte, NC, market by opening a new 49,098 square-foot location just off Interstate 485.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the new store is less than a mile from a Harris Teeter location, continuing the trend of the two chains competing for the Charlotte market. Publix opened its first Charlotte store in 2014 and now has more than 10 in the metro.

The new location will include the typical Publix amenities, including bakery, deli, produce, mean and floral sections.
