WASHINGTON, D.C. — Spanish torta supplier Ines Rosales has launched a single-serve version of its Original Olive Oil Tortas in response to the growing demand from consumers for snacking and on-the-go options.

The Original Olive Oil Tortas follow the same recipe that Ines Rosales got from her family 112 years ago when she began selling tortas in a train station in Seville, Spain. Today, the tortas are still made by hand in Spain.

The Original Olive Oil Tortas are non-GMO verified and all natural, according to the company. This poises retailers to offer them as a better-for-you option to consumers.

"We’ve seen consumers increasingly demand convenience solutions; they want a tasty snack that fits their lifestyle,” said Lucia Conejo-Mir, vice president of sales North America for Ines Rosales. “At Ines Rosales, we are committed to listening to our consumers and our business partners; we believe this is the first strategic step into a fast-growing channel.”

“Consumers are not just seeking products; they are looking for solutions,” Conejo-Mir continued. “We already have a delicious product; this was the next natural step.”

Ines Rosales saw a 47.7% increase in US sales from 2020 to 2021 as the convenience channel sales totaled nearly $97 billion last year.
