Lamitech, an established leader in the converting of paperboard in North America, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Signature Food Boards, which was an operating division of General Die & Die Cutting Inc. located in Roosevelt, NY.
Signature Food Boards consists of patented, FDA approved products serving the bakery and cake tray markets. This line of proven products, designed to be moisture, oil and grease resistant, is a favorite among cake decorators allowing for mistakes to be easily wiped clean without costly waste.
This expansion by Lamitech into the bakery board market is part of a strategic growth plan that began in 2014 with a commitment to an AIB International audit process that annually certifies its manufacturing process as being food-safe. Lamitech, in receiving AIB audit ratings of “Superior” for two consecutive years, is among a select number of paperboard converters to successfully achieve a third-party safety inspection/audit for its direct food contact products.
“The addition of the Signature Food Boards’ line of quality products allows us to expand our reach into the important bakery board market while leveraging our food quality paperboard expertise. The integration of capital equipment and administrative functions will take place over the next several weeks. To ensure customer satisfaction, inventories have been increased to bridge any short term interruptions and customers of Signature Food Boards will receive the same high quality service that they have come to expect. As an expanding leader in the converting and fabricating of paperboard products, we have a strong reputation of being 100% dedicated to serving our customers as well as adding value to their product offerings through the manufacture of high-quality, leading-edge paperboard products for food packaging,” as expressed by Adam Reiser, VP and General Manager of Lamitech, Inc.
