SPRINGDALE, ARK. – Officials with Tyson Foods Inc. expressed gratification for the company being recognized for its corporate responsibility programs by being ranked at the top of Fortune magazine’s 2022 list of the World’s Most Admired Companies in the food production sector. This marks the sixth consecutive year Tyson was placed No. 1 on the list, which has been published annually since 1997 and conducted by Fortune and Korn Ferry.  

Companies were assessed on their corporate reputation and performance using criteria that included; innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products and services and global competitiveness. Tyson ranked No. 1 in the Food Production category in all nine of these, according to the survey, which polled 15,600 top executives, financial analysts and directors across 57 industry segments.  

“We believe this ranking reflects our focus on winning with team members, winning with our customers and consumers, and winning with excellence in execution,” said Donnie King, Tyson’s president and chief executive.

“We remain committed to excelling at what we do, from workplace safety and environmental sustainability to product development and digital technology,” he said.  

According to Fortune, eligible companies must have approximately $10 billion in revenue and rank among the largest by revenue within their industry.
