OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Yorktown, Saskatchewan-based Harvest Meats issued a recall on the company’s Polish sausages due to undercooking. The recall was triggered by the company. The product has been sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Ontario.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products, and warns consumers not to eat the following product:

  • Harvest brand Polish Sausages in 675-gram package, UPC 0 57393 70017 8 with a best before date code “BEST BEFORE 2021/MR/15”

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.
