The 27th Annual Kosher food trade show, known as Kosherfest, will feature hundreds of new products from all over the world, November 10-11 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. Today many consumers, Jewish and non-Jewish alike, seek out food products with kosher certification. This year the kosher food industry is estimated to generate more than $17 billion dollars in sales.
One of the leaders in the kosher industry, Kedem (also known as Kayco based in Bayonne, NJ), has been in business since 1948. They will be on hand at Kosherfest to introduce many new and innovative products trending in food categories today, such as gluten-free, dairy free, Non GMO, as well as mouthwatering imports of pizza and chocolate from Italy and Israel.
Another innovative kosher company, started a century ago is Pereg Gourmet. Not only are they a leader in exotic, natural and pure kosher spices, they are on trend with their successful line of quinoa based products (quinoa pops cereal for kids, quinoa pasta and quinoa four), as well as ancient grains – kamut, freekeh, and farro, all 100% pure and natural and sourced from around the globe. Pereg Gourmet is based in Clifton, NJ.
In addition, The Cheese Guy won at Kosherfest’s New Products Competition in two categories: Double Ale Cheddar Cheese won in the Best Dairy/Cheese category, and its Heirloom Vermont Apple and Maple Syrup Butter won in the Best Jams/Preserves and Dried Fruit category, from among much competition. The Cheese Guy produces artisanal cheeses that are all-natural, hormone free, OU-D certified and made with sustainable dairy farming practices. Its jams, preserves and butters are all natural, gluten and sodium free, and vegan.
