NEW YORK - The newest numbers from Nielsen Total US dollar sales data showed a continued pattern of higher-than-average grocery sales for the week ending on May 16. Instore consumer packaged goods sales (CPG) in the United States were up 15.2%, online CPG sales were up 37% and online food sales overall were up 64.4% for the week ending on May 16.       

Seafood remained the most elevated category for the second week in the row, followed by frozen and meat while product prices continued to rise.
